Chapter Chapter 7 in Not Paying the Rent, 2021, pp 107-116 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter serves as an introduction to how international organisations and the international community in which they operate can drive towards full employment capitalism. Firstly, it expands on the need for upholding a liberal international order in delivering those structural policies, and secondly, through the case study of the World Health Organization (WHO), gives an example of the pressure in and on an international organisation in doing so. The temptation is to see setbacks as reversals rather than as part of a “crooked trajectory” which is overall enhancing the spirit and rules of international organisations.
