Chapter Chapter 12 in Schwarz Methods and Multilevel Preconditioners for Boundary Element Methods, 2021, pp 277-305 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we study the effect of mesh refinements on the condition numbers of the stiffness matrices arising from the h-version Galerkin boundary element discretisation of the weakly-singular and hypersingular integral equations, when quasiuniform and locally refined meshes are used. The condition numbers of the diagonally scaled matrices are also studied.
