Abstract: Abstract The enterprises of the fuel and energy complex are the most important component of the world economy and in many respects influence the level of global and national economic development due to their focus on ensuring energy security. The activities of FEC enterprises affect environment and involve huge risk on people’s lives working on platforms, mines and factories for the production of energy and raw materials products. Its activities always cause a considerable attention from media, and thus, the proper information and media-communication policy become the most important tool in ensuring the sustainable development of FEC. Determined by the Industry 4.0 modern FEC enterprises are switching their production to automatization and widely using innovative technological solutions in communication activities often currently based on artificial intelligence. Environmental PR and GR are becoming the most important tools in the development of reputation and the formation of a sustainable image of environmental friendly companies in the communication strategies in FEC.
