Chapter Chapter 23 in Thermodynamics of Materials with Memory, 2021, pp 519-556 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Materials with constitutive equations expressed in terms of fractional derivatives Fractional derivative [47] are of increasing interest in recent years (see [214, 287]). It is well known that such materials can be considered in the class of materials with memory and may describe elastic, fluid, viscoelastic, and electromagnetic materials, but also other kinds of phenomena, such as heat flux models.
