Abstract: Abstract In this chapter the general purpose of the book is explained, and the different chapters are introduced. Besides that a short discussion is provided about intention-to-treat analysis, per protocol analysis, and as treated analysis. Furthermore, this chapter informs the readers about the simplicity of the equations used and how to obtain the datasets used in the examples.
