Chapter Chapter 2 in Identifying the Complex Causes of Civil War, 2021, pp 9-27 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter describes the data and the initial data cleaning process that precedes actual analysis. First, we describe how we eliminated variables with insufficient data and then explain the process of imputing missing values in the remaining data set. Finally, we describe the process of Recursive Feature Elimination that results in the optimal number of variables that predict civil conflict.
