Chapter Chapter 10 in Special Economic Zones, 2021, pp 207-220 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The success of SEZs in China was centred on gradualism with a pragmatic experimental approach; reform-oriented mindset; strong commitment and active facilitation of the state; opening up to FDIs; sound infrastructure; effective marketing and investment promotion; and continuous technology learning and upgrading. Thus far, China has generously provided developing countries with important lessons on SEZs.
