Abstract: Abstract Anecdotal evidence has shown that the success of SEZs in African economies is largely elusive and very few countries such as South Africa, Mauritius, Kenya, Madagascar and Ghana have been successful. Most zones in Africa have performed dismally due to poor design and management, corruption, poor location and infrastructure deficit.
