Abstract: Abstract Critical success factors for SEZs which must be considered by African countries inter alia include the need to provide reliable infrastructure, building linkages and spillovers, mainstreaming SEZs into national development agendas, creating an enabling business environment and political will. In addition, there is need to mainstream SEZs into national development strategy.
