Chapter Chapter 22 in Executive Education after the Pandemic, 2022, pp 223-229 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic offers the perfect pause for a B-School to reflect on the changing dynamics of the executive education market; and to reset the way it designs and delivers executive programs. This paper discusses some of the opportunities that the school has for strengthening its functional, general management and custom programs. Given the rapid improvements in online delivery made during the pandemic, many functional programs can be migrated online. The use of self-learning modules will allow participants to learn at their own pace and at a place and time of their choosing. General management programs will have to be more holistic in their design and delivery, focusing on the job of a general manager. Custom programs that address an important strategic issue for the client must be co-created in close and extended partnership with the client company. The B-School’s burden will be to convince the client that it is the right partner.
