Chapter Chapter 3 in Business Design Thinking and Doing, 2022, pp 29-47 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter launches the first stage of the innovation process (Initiation) and the first step of the Business Design Method (Step 1: Start). The first stage provides the critical context for starting a project or initiative, involving team forming and innovation project framing. This chapter is divided into two parts that can be delivered as two sequential classes or two distinct and separate modules. Part I introduces the key mindsets, competencies and participant types associated with the innovation stages and BDM steps. Part II launches the project-based learning unit through a challenge brief, people-based SWOT analysis, and an innovation design brief.
