Chapter Chapter 4 in Generosity and Gender, 2022, pp 29-47 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Making connections with others, telling their stories, working collaboratively, aligning their interests and values with causes they care about, creating change, using mentors and influencing the next generation are all key elements of the ways women translate their thoughts and ideas into action. This chapter helps fundraisers understand women’s giving patterns and the ways they approach philanthropy by presenting research which contrasts the sexes in these matters and using profiles of several women to illustrate its principal claims.
