Chapter Chapter 6 in FinTech Women Walk the Talk, 2022, pp 55-69 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract I am clear about what the industry landscape looks and feels like for women in FinTech through examples. This chapter is about us understanding the unique challenges any minority, and typically women, face day in, day out in their working environment. I evidence the experience, the system, lack of sponsorship, passive discrimination, and the continuation of the wide use of unconscious bias. I outline why the correct attribution of credit is important to recognition and therefore promotion and being heard and respected. I explain that once we acknowledge these barriers only then can they be broken down.
