Chapter Chapter 8 in FinTech Women Walk the Talk, 2022, pp 85-100 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter shows why the steps the FinTech industry has been making to solve the gender conundrum has not yet reached a ‘tipping point’. Whilst there may have been some progress, not enough has been made and I highlight the real barriers to change. I explain the ‘all talk and no action’ parody, the gap between policy and procedure, and the fact that there is no one silver bullet. I cover the continuation of unconscious bias and cultural misconceptions despite training, as well as the huge problem of inauthentic inclusion proclamations that undermine the mission.
