Chapter Chapter 8 in Post-Heroic Leadership, 2022, pp 157-171 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The chapter deals with the two roles post-heroic leadership has in facilitating creativity and innovation; how to resolve the innovation paradox and ensure continuous innovation. This type of leadership supports innovative behaviours and the implementation of innovative ideas. The chapter also offers insight into understanding how post-heroic leaders help in sustaining creativity and innovation across time through four motivational drivers of creativity—autonomy, mastery, purpose, and prosociality. The interviews presented touch upon post-heroic leadership and continuous innovation in a start-up setting and upon intrapreneurship in mature organizations.
