Chapter Chapter 1 in Green Behaviors in the Workplace, 2022, pp 1-12 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter introduces the concept of green employee. First, we provide an overview of the current situation to highlight the urgency of promoting green behaviors before setting out a range of environmental perspectives that underline the importance of focusing on organizational settings rather than households. Second, we present the perspective adopted in this book, in which we argue for an individual-centered approach. Third, we examine the nature and complexity of the task of conceptualizing and measuring green behaviors. We conclude by presenting our objectives, our intended audience, and the various sections of the book.
