Project Financing and Direct Conventional Financing
Felix I. Lessambo ()
Chapter Chapter 2 in International Project Finance, 2022, pp 11-18 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Project financing is different from traditional forms of finance because the financier principally looks to the assets and revenue of the project in order to secure and service the loan. Project finance greatly minimizes risk to the sponsoring company, as compared to traditional corporate finance, because the lender relies only on the project revenue to repay the loan and cannot pursue the sponsoring company’s assets in the case of default.
