Abstract:
Abstract Augmented Reality (AR) is now increasingly considered as one of the promising technology to be used in the field of business and marketing across the world. Although the use of AR in the field of business is not a new phenomenon; but in Bangladesh it still remains untapped having enormous potentials. This study intends to explore AR practices in the business sectors around the globe and suggests the possible business sectors for applying AR technology in Bangladesh. This study found AR advertising, AR tourism, AR education and training, AR online retailing and AR gaming as the most emerging sectors for AR application in Bangladesh. This study also provides several implications that may help the government, technopreneurs, marketers and relevant researchers while they are working on the AR technology application in Bangladesh along with the suggestions for future research.
