Abstract:
Abstract This chapter examines Industry 4.0 driven supply chains with a specific focus on technological advancements regarding logistics service providers. The aim of this work is to identify the service characteristics of Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and their technological advancement to satisfy their customer needs. The chapter provides novel insights about Industry 4.0-driven Supplier Selection and Evaluation (SSE) processes, and risks involved in changing LSPs, as well as how the organisation can plan a seamless LSP transition.
