A chapter in Handbook of Smart Energy Systems, 2023, pp 3143-3160 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Carbon-based nanomaterials are marketed as being extremely adaptable, with uses ranging from the pharmaceutical and biomedical industries in the source of carbon quantum dots to the automotive and aviation industries in the form of nano-fiber additives. Many reaction methods have been developed in order to synthesize these nanomaterials. Recently, the emphasis has switched to establishing eco-friendly green paths for their manufacture. One of the most effective methods is to look for a bio-based, renewable, sustainable, or carbon-containing waste precursor for their manufacturing. This chapter discusses the latest developments in eco-friendly, green methods, and techniques for carbon-based nanomaterials. The work that follows is a complete overview of the analytical outcomes of contemporary developed and unique trends, green paths, and varied employments. Also it discusses the difficulties associated with green manufacturing techniques and the use of these nanomaterials.
