A chapter in Handbook of Smart Energy Systems, 2023, pp 2531-2550 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Development of smart grid is a transformation from the traditional grid to an integrated platform that has created new opportunities and necessitated data analytics. As research is growing, various methods and algorithms have been used to support informed decision-making. In this paper, applications of smart grid have been examined in relation to sustainability principles. For this purpose, a literature review has been applied in the last 2 years across Web of Science and Scopus to demonstrate recent applications of data analytics that evaluate the economic, environmental, and social benefits of the proposed method. All these benefits have been summarized, and each application has been discussed.
