Abstract: Abstract Financial inclusion targets the low-income segments of the society, individuals or small firms, for them to have “access to useful and affordable financial services that meet their needs—transactions, payments, savings, credit, and insurance—delivered in a responsible and sustainable way. This chapter introduced the book in empowering the poor through financial and social Inclusion in Africa from Islamic Perspective. The book presents discussions on the issues surrounding financial inclusion, gender equality, regulatory regimes for microfinance, women empowerment, and digital finance from an Islamic perspective. It seeks to encourage the reader to reflect on whether the delivery of financial services from an Islamic perspective, might be attainable and lead to achieving global financial inclusion. The book concluded with useful policy implications to be used by the governments, policymakers, NGOs, and multilateral banks.
