Abstract:
Abstract A new Canadian nominal GNP series has been recently constructed for the 1870–1926 period by M.C. UrquhartUrquhart, M.A.C. (1986) in association with Alan GreenGreen, A.G., M.C. McInnisMcInnis, Marvin, Thomas Rymes, Alasdair Sinclair, and Marion Steel. Urquhart deflates this series largely with a cost of living index to generate a new real GNP series for the 1870–1926 period.
