Chapter Chapter 9 in Introduction to Mathematics for Economics with R, 2022, pp 599-607 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter is an introduction to complex numbers. We will focus on arithmetic operations with complex numbers (Sect. 9.3), and on polar form (Sect. 9.4 and exponential form (Sect. 9.5) of complex numbers. Examples of functions coded from scratch include: a function to compute sine and cosine with Taylor expansion.
