Chapter Chapter 5 in Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management, 2022, pp 97-134 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter discusses the measurement theory that underlies the Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management approach. Communimetrics is an evolution from the clinimetric theory of measurement. The idea of communimetrics is that measurement in practice is primarily used to uniform communication. If that is the primary purpose, then measures should be designed to maximize their communication value. Therefore, the theory focuses on creating relevant, timely, and actionable information that can be effectively communicated at all levels of a system simultaneously. The key principles of communimetrics are presented and discussed.
