Abstract: Abstract An overview of the Data Science discipline and the purpose of the text are explained, highlighting the practical emphasis of the text intended to assist the reader in achieving a profitable and rewarding career in Data Science and Data Analytics. Data Science is defined as an inter-disciplinary field of investigation concerned with obtaining accurate, reliable, and actionable insights about data. Most importantly, data science projects are designed to answer one or more overarching questions, so identifying and framing those questions is a primary focus of this chapter.
