Abstract: Abstract This chapter introduces the book’s empirical investigation of the role that agricultural growth has played in aggregate economic growth in Ethiopia in the twenty-first century. This chapter describes the main method and data used for empirical investigation. It describes both the data contained in the three Social Accounting Matrices (SAMs) that form the book’s main empirical data source, as well as the methodological proceedings of the Semi-Input-Output multiplier model that the book applies.
