Reserving: Methods
Catrin Townsend ()
Chapter Chapter 11 in A Risky Business, 2022, pp 223-240 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Chapter 10 outlined the aims and principles behind reserving. This chapter builds on that foundation by detailing some of the quantitative methods used to do this. While the math isn’t particularly complicated, this chapter does involve multi-step calculations. The broad outline of each method might be sufficient for your purposes but to get the most out of this chapter, I highly recommend that it is deferred until you have a pencil, paper, and calculator ready.
