Abstract:
Abstract Clients are faced with a wide variety of alternatives when making sourcing decisions, which means taking a number of considerations into account to make the right decision. This chapter focuses on sourcing models for client firms and how to make sourcing decisions. With traditional sourcing models, unlike internet-based sourcing models (which we discuss in Chap. 3 ), the vendor’s personnel deliver a business service for the client firm. In particular, this chapter covers the following topics: Traditional sourcing models Factors to consider when making decisions about outsourcing and offshoring The most suitable processes for outsourcing and offshoring.
