Chapter Chapter 4 in Economic Microfoundations of Strategic Management, 2022, pp 69-98 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Many of the original property rights ideas were quickly assimilated into mainstream thinking in economics. In the mid-1980s a related approach developed, often also called “property rights economics.” However, this later approach is different in key dimensions. It specifically focuses on how the allocation of ownership matters in a relation, whereas the older property rights took a much broader view of what should be explained in the social world.
