Chapter Chapter 11 in The Palgrave Handbook of Managing Family Business Groups, 2023, pp 267-298 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we draw on a family business governance concept and propose, that family influences family business groups by governing of family ownership through an ownership governance system. The ownership governance system, with the aim of shaping a workable coherence between family and business goals, differs from the family and business governance systems. The system’s approach is fruitful for conceptualising the governing ownership system. We justify this assertion by presenting an analysis of a case study that introduces family influence in governing family ownership. The findings confirm the uniqueness of our conceptualisation.
