Chapter Chapter 5 in Economic Development Implications of the Venezuelan Migrant Crisis, 2022, pp 123-153 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter reviews some of the discussions regarding the impact of immigration on the host country’s trade patterns. The discussions will be presented in the following sequence. The first section will address the general conduits through which trade patterns of the host economy are impacted by immigration. This is followed by a discussion of how immigration impacts on the non-traded sector of the host country. The potential impact of the Venezuelan immigrant population on T&T trade partners is then discussed after which the chapter concludes.
