Chapter Chapter 10 in The Economics of Catalan Separatism, 2022, pp 61-67 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The banality of the destruction of Catalonia, the stupidity of the demolition of Spain is extremely surprising, worrying, intriguing and deeply painful. Hence the million-euro question: what is Catalan separatism? Why did this secessionist phenomenon come about? How could it grow so quickly? What are the consequences of it and what will the future consequences be? In this book we consider some of these pressing questions, especially with regard to the economy. The title of this chapter brings together some of the terms used to describe the Catalan separatist syndrome.
