Chapter Chapter 13 in The Economics of Catalan Separatism, 2022, pp 87-92 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract What can explain secessionism in advanced countries? An academic analysis of secessionist discourse provides us with very relevant keys to understanding and for reflection. Four semi-structured questionnaires were carried out with people from the ages of 18 to 34 who identified as: middle class, university graduates, from Catalan families, Catalan speaking, very interested in politics, voters for ERC or CUP, and who considered themselves to be ‘only Catalan’ and who watched the news programmes on TV3.
