Chapter Chapter 8 in The Economics of Catalan Separatism, 2022, pp 47-55 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The European Communities and the European Union (EU) were established to foster peace, understanding between the states, nations and peoples, as well as the freedom and the progress of citizens. European integration has lightened the impact of borders, suppressed interior barriers and facilitated the free movement of citizens, goods, services and capital in accordance with the principle of non-discrimination on account of nationality.
