Abstract: Abstract My youth, and my early years in Slemmestad and Asker were indeed formative. To be non-assuming, curious, open-minded and eager to learn from many others, and to acknowledge that hard work is important, are all part of these early and critical years. My formal studies at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH), at Yale, and at Harvard Business School (HBS) further enhanced these traits.
