Abstract: Abstract The previous chapter has ended with the language of Managerialism’s usage of numerous numerical superlatives. Perhaps three different usages of such superlatives might be distinguished. All three peculiarities are used almost equally and rather excessively. Firstly, there is the language of superlatives—often expressed in the form of adjectives, as well as an exaggerated or hyperbolical expression of self-praise for the achievements of corporate apparatchiks, top-management and—most of all—the CEO. It is always ‘the one best way’ and never a good way, for example. These are single expressions which inherently contain a superlative value. Secondly, the language of Managerialism also ascribes superlative values to words that were not used as superlatives, previously. Finally, there are sentence structures that are completely drenched with superlatives. These managerial superlatives can acquire a special appeal through the effect of accumulation.
