Abstract: Abstract One is the friend of the self who has won over oneself; but one becomes enemy of oneself if one treats oneself like an enemy. As the Gita says one has to make an effort to constantly transform oneself in life without degrading oneself. If one can do this, it can help the self, the organization, and the work environment. The aim of this chapter is to provide a road map for self-transformation which can lead to transforming the organization. An effective organizational transformation cannot happen without self‐transformation of those who are involved in leading the change. The self-transformation includes focusing on one’s value system, strengthening one’s resolve, dealing with people in the organization, and finally the work itself.
