Abstract:
Abstract The objective of this paper is to present a synthetic graphical model that I have been using since the 1990s as a senior management consultant. The purpose is to integrate the entrepreneur and the entrepreneurial function, essential in any firm with an agency relationship between the management and owners. This synthetic model analyses the firm from a business management perspective. The intention is not to elaborate a “Theory of Entrepreneurship,” but rather to introduce the concept of the entrepreneurial function, as distinct from the managerial function and capital ownership.
