Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, I share own experience of living in the Soviet Union. The chapter explains why the Soviet Union disintegrated in 1991, leaving in its wake severe governance challenges, poverty, corruption, mismanagement, distrust, emigration, crime, conflicts, defunct economic systems and institutions and disoriented citizens.
