Chapter Chapter 6 in International Labour Mobility, 2023, pp 105-138 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we performed a multidimensional analysis at the macroeconomic and household level. The states included in the analysis were Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The decision to select states is based on the lack of impact of remittances on developed countries, with increasing importance in developing countries. In the case of Romania and the Republic of Moldova at macroeconomic level, we presented the impact generated on labour market indicators, financial effects on the balance of payments, and at microeconomic level, we highlighted the impact on changes in current consumption expenditures, quality of life reflected in health expenditures, the formation of human capital by directing the flows in education and the degree of modernization and endowment with technologies of households.
