Chapter Chapter 7 in Managing for Social Justice, 2023, pp 159-186 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Technological revolutions have been instigators of new organizational forms and management models for several centuries now. In this chapter, we examine the accelerated adoption and dissemination of digital technologies in workplaces during the COVID-19 pandemic leading to an emergence of a new model of management that needs to rely on the trust and dignity of workers. We specifically examine the dysfunctions of such an accelerated digital revolution from a social justice perspective.
