Chapter 1 in Refugee and Immigrant Entrepreneurship, 2023, pp 1-14 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The concept of refugee has become important especially for Türkiye in recent years. Because, Türkiye has become one of the countries that is hosting the highest number of refugees in the world. Events and problems experienced in neighboring countries accelerated the migration to Türkiye. Foreign nationals who came with immigration have an impact on Türkiye in economic, sociological, psychological and many different perspectives. One of the economic impacts is related to the businesses established by the refugees. In this study, while refugee entrepreneurship and its effects are explained, as a result, the situation in Türkiye is explained qualitatively and quantitatively.
