Abstract: Abstract Due to its geographical location and the refugee policy, Türkiye is one of the countries that receives foreign migration the most. This outward migration and refugee flow over time are felt in many areas of life, especially in the economy. The fact that refugees are included in the labor market with relatively low expectations makes refugees more preferable in the economy and labor market. Although this situation presents a negative picture for the citizens of the Republic of Türkiye, it brings along the prolongation of the refugees’ stay in Türkiye and their easier hold on the economy. When we look at the economy in general in Türkiye, refugee workers and refugee entrepreneurs also have a positive effect on the economy, especially in terms of reducing costs and providing superiority in foreign competition. In this study, the positive and negative effects of refugee workers and refugee entrepreneurs in Türkiye on the economy in general were investigated. According to the results of the study, refugee entrepreneurs and refugee workers are relatively beneficial in reducing costs and increasing productivity. However, considering the labor market of the economy, refugee entrepreneurs also contribute to the increase in unemployment and to become a chronic problem for unemployment.
