Chapter Chapter 7 in Redecentralisation, 2023, pp 159-178 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter places a significant focus on the regulatory side of data protection. It provides an overview of many of the advances in developing regulation to protect the data and information of individuals in the digital world. At the same time, we highlight that this approach can and should go further, in particular in the era of growing advancements in AI to focusing on privacy as the starting point of building new technical solutions and tools, a distinction that we make clear as it is paramount to the efficacy of the digital financial ecosystem.
