Chapter 6 in Supply Network 5.0, 2023, pp 191-226 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter considers the third fundamental component of supply network 5.0 connected with resilience and agility. It also considers the emerging management challenges to take care of the possible disruption of the supply network 5.0. This chapter considers two critical characteristics of supply network 5.0: resilience and agility. It details a critical aspect of the new normal connected with operational risks: Operational risks are losses due to inadequacy or failures of processes, human resources, internal systems, or external events. This chapter examines how supply network 5.0 can help manage these operational risks.
