Chapter 8 in Supply Network 5.0, 2023, pp 287-316 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter considers the supply network 5.0 project and the innovation models to help realize it successfully. It also considers an innovation acceptance model to analyze all stakeholders’ critical success factors connected with the acceptance of supply network 5.0. This chapter considers the project for the supply network 5.0 transformation. A project is the basis of any innovation, which is critical to overcoming the recurring crisis. Actionable knowledge on improving innovation and bringing value to customers and organizations is essential. Their application to the innovation processes had mixed results. This chapter discusses improving innovation processes based on design thinking and integrating digitization into the lean six sigma method. These methods aim to add value to the customers, improve effectiveness, eliminate waste, minimize operating costs, and reduce time-to-market by redesigning the innovation processes and automation. This chapter reports many cases where these approaches helped the start-to-end innovation processes (from the definition of the value for the customers up to implementing a prototype and engineering the delivery processes).
