Abstract: Abstract This chapter began with an overview of initial coin offerings (ICOs) and statistics concerning their rapid growth beginning in 2017. Next, we discussed the SEC’s 2017 warning about ICOs. The chapter proceeded with analyzing case studies related to celebrity promotion of ICOs and cryptocurrencies. Case studies discussed include those of rappers, actors, and influencers.
