This chapter aimed to investigate the impact of the digital ageDigital age on the recruitment and selectionSelection process within organizationsOrganizations. Through the literature review, we sought to point out the advantages and disadvantages of the online recruitmentOnline recruitment and selection processSelection process through digital platformsDigital platforms and social networksSocial networks. The results allowed us to conclude that organizations are employing new technologiesTechnology and using social networksSocial networks to recruit people, and that this occurrence has everything to expand in the coming years. It has been proven that the recruitment and selection procedures on the internetInternet enable time and cost savings, however the excess of information presents a lack of reliability for recruiters. Social networks are seen by companies as a complement to information and not as a substitute for other traditional recruitmentRecruitment and selectionSelection methods.
