Abstract:
Abstract The Russian government is an absolute monarchy, tempered by assassination; now, when the prince trembles, he is no longer bored; he therefore lives between terror and disgust. If the pride of the despot wants slaves, the man seeks equals: but a Czar has no equals; etiquette and jealousy vie to guard his lonely heart.
